The Town has successfully installed a backup power generator to provide emergency alternative power to run our wells located in the Stoneleigh section of our water system. This was the second phase of a three-phase process that the Town Council approved under our 5-Year Capital Improvements Program to install emergency power sources to run our utility operations during an interruption to the normal power grid.

This construction process was completed in August with the help and support of Stoneleigh Golf Club. Under the current upgrade, the generator will allow the Town to run the wells during any period of interruption of power on the electrical grid feeding this area. This will allow operations to continue to produce water for the customers in this service area.

The Town is now designing the final phase of this CIP Project which will include an upgrade to the generator that supports the Goose Greek Water Treatment Facility and Goose Creek Sewer Lift Station.
