Round Hill Seeking New Member of Town Council Following Unexpected Vacancy

Round Hill, VA

The Round Hill Town Council seeks qualified voters who are Town residents and live with in the corporate limits of town who may be interested in serving on the Town Council due to a vacancy resulting from a Council Member resignation. The Town Council will appoint a qualified Town resident to serve as an interim Town Council member until November 2019. The interim appointee may also be a candidate during the special election to be held on November 5, 2019 for the remaining portion of the term through June 30, 2020.

The Town Council meets on the first and third Thursday of each month, an application for the interim Town Council appointment can be found below.. It is strongly recommended that a letter of interest and resume also be submitted. Interested citizens must submit their materials by 3:00 pm on November 13, 2018 to Melissa Hynes at [email protected] and copy the Town Council at [email protected] or in person at Town Office, 23 Main Street, Round Hill, VA.

Other opportunities to serve the Town of Round Hill are also available. The Town Planning Commission has a vacancy. The Planning Commission meets on the first Tuesday each month. Interested candidates can submit the same application form as the Council vacancy along with a letter of interest and resume.
