Press Release – Round Hill Appoints New Member to Town Council Following Unexpected Vacancy
The Round Hill Town Council appointed Michael Hummel to Town Council on January 19, 2017 to serve on the Council due to a vacancy resulting from a Council Member resignation. Mr. Hummel will serve as an interim Town Council member until November 2017. At which time a special election is to be held for the remaining portion of the term which runs through June 30, 2020. Once Mr. Hummel is sworn in by the Loudoun County Clerk of the Court he will officially be a member of the Town Council.
Any resident interested in seeking the Town Council position must be a qualified voter and a Town resident who resides within the corporate limits of the Town of Round Hill.
All interested candidates must have their paperwork turned into the General Registrar’s office which is located at 750 Miller Dr., S.E., Suite C, Leesburg, VA by 7 p.m. on June 13, 2017. The required forms can be picked up at the Town Office, 23 Main Street, Round Hill, VA or by going to the town’s website www.roundhillva.org.

At their January 19, 2017 meeting, the Round Hill Town Council appointed Lori Minshall and Jean Daly to the Round Hill Planning Commission.
